A Fresh Start Any Time - Now to Organize!
/It doesn’t have to be the new year to aim for a fresh start. It’s always a great time to re-set. Organizing your home can be a great way to do this. Here are a few ways to take advantage of the timing and get organized.
· Get rid of "clutter" - what does that mean? Get rid of anything in your home that you don't need or use. These things just take up space.
· File important paperwork and mail - don't just leave it in a pile on a table somewhere.
· Put items away right after use, don't wait for later.
· Purge - do an inventory of clothing, outerwear, shoes, etc. Perhaps donate the things you a no longer using. There are a lot of people who could benefit from those items.
· Restrict things in your home office to things that are vital to your work.
· Go paperless where you can.
· Dispose of any expired or empty toiletries and use organizers, jars or accessories in your bathroom so there is a place for everything.
· Use a lazy Susan in your fridge to keep condiments from hiding in the back.
Some recent studies have suggested that there is a link between clutter in the home and stress so take advantage of these simple steps to destress!
